Job description
Alphablox (ABX) is an Information Management (IM) product that Cognos took ownership of over 3 years ago.
We have a commitment to deliver on the incoming L3 work which includes 1-200+ PMRS per year, APARs, fix packs, and maintaining current platform support for the third-party data sources (relational and OLAP), application servers, browsers, and operating systems that it supports.
List of General Skills
1. Java
2. Javascript and DHTML knowledge
3. C
4. Familiar with web servers such as Tomcat, Weblogic or Websphere
The specialized areas of the product:
1. Installer - Learn and use InstallAnywhere
2. BloxBuilder - Learn how Eclipse plugins work
3. Fix and maintain our web application server work - would have to install/configure/use Tomcat, Weblogic, and WebSphere
4. Fix and maintain our Hyperion Essbase OLAP support. This requires building our Alphablox Essbase bridges to run agains
